The City of West Hollywood selected CurbIQ to modernize its curb management processes to accommodate increasing demand for curb space. The project will begin with a digital curb inventory of all regulations and assets. CurbIQ will survey the entire City, around 100 curb miles. The data is ingested into the CurbIQ platform using industry standard Curb Data Standard (CDS). The City also has existing vendors that will be integrated into CurbIQ so that all utilization data related to the curb is in one central location.
After the initial phase of the project, the full CurbIQ platform and associated APIs will be deployed. City staff will use CurbIQ to visualize curb data and existing conditions, plan out various street redesigns and pilot projects, manage all temporary and residential permits, and provide a deep dive on parking demand analytics.
CurbIQ will also ingest and display historical and real-time curbside data. Important analytics such as occupancy rates, dwell time, turnover, transactions, and violations will be accessed in the platform with various reports and maps. These data sources will help to predict future occupancy, scenario comparison, and impacts of regulation changes for on- and off-street parking.
The comprehensive digital curb inventory, access to the CurbIQ platform, and data aggregation will be essential for the City to manage their curbs in efficient and innovative ways.
