CurbIQ is creating a digital curb space inventory largely concentrating around Downtown Kirkland. This includes all curb regulations within the project area as well as select off-street lots owned by the City of Kirkland.
CurbIQ is helping the City of Kirkland integrate and aggregate parking solutions, including sensors, real-time data, and mobile apps to optimize downtown parking and enhance current and future services within Kirkland. By being the data integrator, CurbIQ helps establish a comprehensive hub for communicating and accessing parking usage information, facilitating parking navigation based on selected trip criteria by end users for the City.
CurbIQ, in collaboration with the City of Kirkland, also completed a comprehensive assessment of parking demand for on-street and off-street stalls in Kirkland’s downtown and waterfront parks. This assessment was commissioned with the objective of aiding decision-making relating to parking strategies in Downtown Kirkland by generating accurate, current data relating to parking patterns and demand. By analyzing detailed occupancy and dwell time data, CurbIQ identified opportunities for the City to increase parking revenue and better manage parking behavior. These recommendations will also help the City better facilitate turnover for parking stalls in greatest demand, while continuing to maximize support for business access to Downtown Kirkland.
